About Us

The Fleurieu Coast Business Association - or FCBA for short - is a support network of local business people who come together to connect, collaborate, build community and unlock opportunity. We believe great things can happen when local business people come together, share their knowledge and their experiences, support one another to grow and share a great perspective.

  • Tj fell in love with the Fleurieu Coast when she moved to the area 10 years ago with her husband and young family from QLD.

Growing up with a chef mother and entrepreneur father it was inevitable that she would find a passion in the food industry and create her own business.

Tj feels her mission in life is to bring modern fresh food to this community and passionate about feeding it. She has been on various committees around the district during her time here including the kindy and school, sporting clubs and has helped run the Normanville New Years Eve Pageant for the past four years. TJ's claim to fame was creating Junk Street, starting off as a retro & vintage shop in a back shed, to today being a well known catering business and coffee van servicing the Fleurieu.

  • Mel has been living in picturesque Torrensvale with her husband and two young boys for the past 6 years. As well as working for years in the banking industry as a senior personal banker and later a lending manager, she has owned her own successful businesses. She spent many nights as a child counting up the cash takings from her fathers shop. She started learning and understanding how a business works which provided her with a multitude of life skills. She has always had a passion for financial literacy and last year was the founder of the Kids Community Market on the Fleurieu Coast and is currently serving on many local committees as a treasurer. Mel recently became one of the directors of a successful financial planning business and is a fully qualified and operating mortgage broker serving our local district and beyond.

  • Took over Leonards Mill Restaurant in 2017 with my husband. Mother of 1, with another on the way, plus a fur baby. I am a butter enthusiast, chardonnay lover and passionate foodie. My focus is on only sourcing produce from local farmers & producers on the Fleurieu Peninsula. After travelling overseas and seeing how other countries source entire menus from a single town or region, realised that this was lacking in Australia. The Fleurieu Coast is abundant with amazing produce and that is what we want to show off to our guests! My family have had a farm in Second Valley for 32 years and there is no place more beautiful or feels like home.
